How do I book a party?
You can call into GAPA, phone the office or fill in an enquiry form on this website. We will then confirm the availability and provide you with a booking form . Once this is received back with a £50 deposit we will confirm your party. Parties must be paid in full two weeks prior to the party.
How many Children can attend?
Our party package is for up to 16 children, you can book for less children however the party cost will remain the same. The maximum number we can accommodate is 24 with the extra children costing £13.50 per head.
How safe are the Parties?
All GAPA staff are trained and all have first aid and safeguarding training. All hold enhanced DBS checks and have lots of experience of working with children. The site is checked daily and all activities are risk assessed. GAPA holds Public liability Insurance and is registered with Ofsted. Once all your guests have arrived we will lock the front gates so children can not leave the site.
What time should i arrive?
Food can be dropped off 15mins before the party. Children should only come at the actual time of the booking and not earlier as we will be busy setting up
What happens if it rains?
The party will carry on as planned, children never let rain put them off having fun! The hedgerow is very sheltered and the den building area is also under lots of trees and can be protected with tarpaulin. If the day of the party is a wet day then please bring suitable clothes and wellies. If the rain is torrential then we do have an indoor space that can be used if necessary. We will only postpone a party if severe weather affects the safety or accessibility of the site. If this happens we would arrange to have your party on another date.
What does the party package include?
The package is for up to 16 children but extra children can be booked at £13.50 per head (maximum 24 children). The party will last 2.5 hrs. You will have access to the fantastic outdoor area, to the toilets and hand washing facilities. You choose 2 activities that will be led by a GAPA Playworker. GAPA playworkers will be on hand throughout the party to make sure your party runs smoothly and the children have a great time. Extras can also be purchased such as the slush machine. You will be asked to leave the site in a reasonable condition but all the activities, pots etc will be cleared away by the GAPA staff as we want the experience to be easy for you so you can enjoy the day with your child.
Can i visit the venue before the party?
Yes you can if you contact the GAPA staff they will arrange a time for you to have a look around and give you the opportunity to ask any further questions. If you are not able to visit before you can email us any questions.
What should i provide in terms of food and refreshments?
We will provide water and squash for the children. You will need to provide the food and cake, unless we are providing the BBQ then you will just have to bring the cake!. Tea and coffee for adults can be purchased.
Is there somewhere for the party food?
If the weather is nice then we have an outdoor seating area with picnic style tables, if not we have an indoor room which will be set up for you with table and chairs.
Can we have use of a BBQ?
Yes you can use the onsite BBQ we will provide tongs, foil trays, bowls, plates, and cutlery you will just need to provide the charcoal, napkins and food. If you prefer we can provide you with a BBQ including bread bun, sausage, burger, coleslaw, crisps, and cupcakes for £3.75 per head. (Dietry requirements can be catered for just let us know on your booking form).
